Track down Cousins Maine Lobster when you have a chance!
Because, lobster.
Let me introduce their signature Maine Lobster Roll and Lobster Tots.
Lobster rolls don’t need a lot of bells and whistles to be successful in one thing – being a delivery system for sweet, thick lobster meat. The Cousins Maine Lobster Roll ($15) had a touch of mayo and was served on a buttery, toasted roll. A few lemon wedges are along for the ride too. I missed some veggie crispness, though — maybe celery bits, lettuce, or sprigs of dill. Lobster lovers would be pleased, sandwich lovers not so much.
The lobster tots ($12.50) were generously covered in pico de gallo with a drizzle of cilantro lime sauce. This lovely basket of lobster, potatoes, and veg is honestly a meal in itself.
Both will set you back a bit more than you may be used to for a food truck, but both the lobster roll and the lobster tots are well worth it. Both are even a sharable size together, if you feel the need. I almost didn’t!
