Marilyn is a Puerto Rican who cannot turn down a well-made dulce de leche flan or a perfectly seared bistec encebollado. She believes a good week should include medium rare meats and steamed potatoes with fresh dill, butter, and a pinch of rough salt. Her basic idea of comfort food starts and ends with meat, bread, and potatoes. Noticing a trend? Marilyn is a University of Central Florida alumna with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing, and explores Orlando’s food scene with her other half, Adam. She shares both the bitter and sweet experiences with anyone who will listen — always hopeful, always by the forkful.
